My largest piece completed to date, explores my enneagram journey of forgiving myself and others from the years of low grade anxiety, lies and the misunderstandings I’ve believed about myself.
This painting represents the belief that we all bear the scars from our journey in this life and no matter how much we try to hide or mask them they are still there.
As an Enneagram 6 one of our things is about having walls around us. We raise and lower them depending on where we are at. The higher they are the more anxiety I may have at that time. We seek the protection that the walls bring but we also like to look over them. You’ll see a lot of varying heights in the following pieces I’ve hung here. Those are symbolic of the varying states of anxiety I may be feeling at any given time.
Through the work I’ve done over the last year and a half I wanted a piece that represented what life could look like when I allowed hope, love and healing in.
The goal is to use art as a creative to help myself and others recognize what is true, what is not and be able to heal those parts so we can all be the best person that we were created to be.
