Size: 16×20 Canvas in 1.5″ White Floater Frame
Media: Gesso and acrylic paint.
I’ve been wanting to do another moon piece but wanted to break out of the monochromatic blacks and metallic grays that I’ve used in my previous paintings.
This color scheme was born out of the MILES DAVIS “Kind of Blue” I finished late last year.
While this piece has a lot of energy going on in the waves below and in the moon’s surface, its really symbolic of inter personal alignment work I’ve been focused on. One of my life words for 2022 is rhythm. This original embodies the transition from anxiety to alignment and flow.
Comes in a deep set mat white float frame and ready to hang.
Found this quote by the late great poet and musician, Jim Morrison that was the inspiration behind this abstract original moonscape painting.
“Let’s swim to the moon,
Let’s climb through the tide,
Surrender to the waiting worlds,
That lap against our side.”
