CUSTOM SEAHAWKS SHIRTS
Big shout out to my brother-in-law Dann Barbakoff for reaching out and asking if I wanted to create something cool for him and my nephew Jude for their trip to Seattle last month.
Like most collaborations I always want to get a read on what the client is looking for.
Dann being Dann was like “work your magic and surprise me?”
Ha! No pressure there but since I’ve known him for quite awhile, I still wanted to present a few different design paths we could down.
We both have an affinity for retro jerseys but I still wanted to explore and give him some options.
These are the three initial graphic concepts presented to the client to see which direction he liked best.
These are the first pass of graphics presented to the client
I knew which one I wanted to modify and thankfully, we were on the same page.
Once the desired concept was selected it was time for me to work on finding the fonts and begin the necessary design modifications.
I included several different tight options for him to choose from along with mockups of what these would look like on long sleeves.
This is the modified and approved graphics ready for print.
This is the shirt that was delivered from VistaPrint
Since these were technically one offs, I searched some options for companies that could print and direct ship for me. It’s spot many options out there, I eventually landed on VistaPrint as they had the widest selection of t-shirt options.
We went with the 4.3oz Fruit of the Loom long sleeve in the heather athletic grey.
The print style of the graphic is a heat transfer and is more durable than the DTG (direct to garment) options when running small qty orders.

And my nephew didn’t see all the details at first but you know, he’s still newly married ish and has other things on his mind.
I couldn’t be more stoked for these two to be able to get opportunity to travel to a game out of state together.
