Here’s an alternate angle that shows the gallery wrapped sides.
Media: Gesso and acrylic paint.
I love the symbolism of this high contrast piece. It represents the choices we have in this journey of healing and self-discovery.
It acknowledges the physical and or emotional scars we all have and the ability to move between the light and the dark.
For me it’s a daily reminder that when I move from unhealthy thought patterns and into new ones, there is more opportunity to show up for my self as well as others. I feel like our world is filled with more anxiety than I can recall.
This piece like the others explores the concept of forgiveness and the process of letting go of the bullshit I’ve allowed in over the years.
It’s about celebrating the scars but not letting them drive my identity. It’s about making better choices to live a happier life that’s filled with positivity instead of anxiety and this constant voice of “Am I enough?”
