Sometimes I don’t like the direction for the vision of this piece so I switch it up. It doens’t mean that I might not incorporate this on a different piece.
This one, like the others, has all the underlying scars from life and illustrates this desire for rhythm or balance 6’s seek out so much.
We are often living out with inconsistent boundaries the will either hinder or support our satisfaction in life.
While control is a hard thing for us to give up, and this strong desire for balance or justice, I wanted to see where this piece would take me.
Of course I was anxious to see what would be revealed, but I love the tension in this one. The play of energy between the light and dark. The need to control space but allow the space for hope and forgiveness.
And the beauty of the metallic gold that enters in and begins to calm the fears.
Putting it out there is half the battle. I’m finding that this work has opened some doors and interesting conversations with others who have been wrestling with some of the same stuff I do.
